Hi Guys! January 11 marks my 30th Birthday 🙂 Which is a pretty significant milestone. It’s funny to think about where I thought I would be at thirty! I always thought I would be married by 25 and have about 2-3 kids now. It is soo CRAZY that I envisioned that life for me way back when. To think about what I was doing at 25, I practically was still a baby living in New York and still learning about myself.
Now I’m thirty and entering this exciting new chapter for me. I’m still learning about my new environment, and adjusting to my new job. I was always a little scared to turn thirty because in my eyes it was admitting I’m getting old, I still have so much to accomplish.
I recently read an article that said when you’re in your thirties you have a different way of thinking. Apparently, your thirties are your best decade yet. When you are 30, you are now making smarter decisions with your money. As I get into this new age, my friends and I are all entering into the next steps of our lives. Some are getting married and having babies, and some in grad school so we can’t just throw money away now. I started meeting with a finical advisor and now think twice before I swipe my card. Living along also helps me budget a lot — nothing like being an adult when you have to pay all your bills by yourself lol.
I’m genuinely excited to see what 30 has in store for me! I am throwing myself a 30th Birthday Brunch at the end of the month, and I have curated a menu, photo booth, and all the decorations. If anyone is thinking of throwing a party, I will share some of my tips that helped me stay organized and within my budget! Stay tuned for the post!
Until Next time!
