French toast is one of my personal favorite brunch dishes, and I’m here to share a quick and easy recipe with you. French toast is all about using the right type of bread. So please do not use your regular sandwich bread it serves no purpose here 🙂
Lots of recipes will call for day-old bread and challah bread is good but sometimes you don’t want to wait a day for your bread to get “old”. I discovered this amazing find at Trader Joe’s Which is their Sliced French Brioche!
If you see it during your shopping trips pick it up and you won’t be disappointed. This French Brioche is buttery, sweet and is the perfect base to use for French toast. This is a quick and simple recipe and you won’t be spending hours in the kitchen. Top with fresh fruit and maple syrup and you are good to go!
While you are at TJ’s be sure to pick up their prosecco so you can have mimosa or bellinis accompany your french toast because why not. Brunching at home saves you a ton of money, and no time limit on your mimosa 🙂 What are some of your favorite brunch dishes? Would you consider yourself a Brunch Connoisseur? Let me know below!
