Summer is “officially” here even though we are still social distancing. Although it seems like the folks in Oakland, have decided that they are ready to be outside with no mask. I am still social distancing and staying away from the crowds. I hope you are staying safe and enjoying the summer heat that is finally here. One of my favorite past times to help cheer me up is baking. I haven’t been able to do as much as I wanted over the last few weeks because I have been exhausted. I finally decided to take some time out and make one of my favorite side dish or main dish, because this is just that good. I honestly feel that every culture has their version of a meat pie, beef patty, empanada, or hot pocket.
If you still are a little lost its basically a delicious pastry with a meat filling inside. If meat is not your thing you can fill it up with yummy veggies for sure. I filled mine with ground beef, potatoes, carrots, and onions.
Now that I’m living in California and miles away from friends and family, the top two questions I get are:
If I would have known my cookies where these popular maybe I should have continued with Top Shelf Treats and not pursue Dabira 🙂
