It’s always a plus for me when a restaurant has great food, and also great content for me to post about. Berkley Social Club is your spot to grab Brunch and be able to snap some great pictures while you’re at it. I do get excited when I see other people around me taking photos, so I’m like oh this won’t be weird when I bust out my Canon camera to get this shot! Berkeley Social club has been on my list as one of the places to brunch since I’ve moved out here. I love when I have visitors coming into town because I get to fill the weekend with great food places I want to try out.
To start Berkeley Social club is one of those restaurants that will get busy on the weekend, so you need to make a reservation if you plan to brunch on Saturday. I was lucky enough to find myself free on Friday and decided to grab brunch with my cousin. Berkeley Social Club is a great mix of contemporary Korean and American cuisine. On the menu you will find classic American brunch dishes like French Toast, Eggs Benedict, but also find some Asian inspired dishes such as Pajun Pancake.
If you haven’t had millionaires bacon prepare yourself for this amazing piece of meat. You can’t find millionaires bacon at a lot of restaurants, but when you do order it! The bacon is usually cooked for hours with brown sugar and spicy peppers, and it’s thick, chewy, and delicious.
The Eggs Benedict dish I chose cane with the Millionaires bacon and is amazing. I am not a fan of a true Eggs Benedict, so I always opt not get this as an option during brunch. The difference with this Eggs Benedict is we chose to have them cook the eggs all the way through because I am not a fan of runny egg(I know maybe one day I will get there). The Benedict was not dry at all. What made this dish very special was the sauce! The Eggs Benedict was topped with a Myer lemon hollandaise and if I could just buy a bottle of this I would. Then they topped it with that amazing millionaires bacon and it was divine.
French toast is also one of my favorite dishes to order during brunch and Berkeley Social was great. The french toast was topped with fresh fruit, and filled with mascarpone cheese and blueberries. The crunch on the outside gave it a nice texture and cane with fresh maple syrup.
I’m excited to come back here and try one of the contemporary Korean dishes!
Be sure to check out Berkeley Social club, and let me know what you had for brunch 🙂
